Max Cohen
Founder- Guitar, Bass, Songwriting
Max is a professional guitar player and teacher with 20+ years of playing experience and 10+ years of teaching experience. He’s taught hundreds of students privately, and used to work as second in command at Marty Music, Youtube’s biggest guitar teaching channel. Max can teach all styles, but is very proficient in Rock, Blues and Funk.
Max graduated from USC in 2014 and has since toured nationally and internationally, most recently with his own Alt. Rock/Punk band “Mr. Max”. He’s written songs for TV, Film and Ads, has done session guitar work for Major Labels and has collaborated with Platinum/Grammy winning artists and producers.
Max is passionate about making music fun and accessible, and is particularly skilled at breaking down techniques and concepts in a way that’s easy for students to understand.

Matt Lau
Guitar, Bass, Piano, Ukulele
Matt Lau is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist whose musical journey began with piano and violin at an early age. Under the guidance of accomplished instructors, he developed a strong foundation in classical music. However, his passion ultimately found its voice in the guitar—a calling that has shaped his artistic direction over the past fifteen years.
Matt currently serves as the lead guitarist and backing vocalist for Joker’s Hand, an alternative rock band based in Torrance, California. With the band, he has performed extensively throughout the western United States and shared festival stages with major acts including Counting Crows, Fitz & The Tantrums, and Sugar Ray.
In addition to his work with Joker’s Hand, Matt is an experienced session guitarist and bassist, having collaborated with a variety of artists and projects such as Adin Boyer, Hand Drawn Maps, Illunis, Unknown Gravity Project, and 608 Dropout.
As a dedicated educator and lifelong student of music, Matt draws from his diverse background in both classical and contemporary genres. He is passionate about teaching and sharing his enthusiasm for music across a range of styles, including pop, R&B, rock, and metal.

Zoe Roarz
Guitar, Voice, Bass, Piano, Songwriting
Zoe Roarz is a classically trained musician with many years of music teaching and performing under her belt. She specializes in singing, keyboard/piano, guitar and bass. Zoe is great with all ages and neurodivergent kids. Her favorite genres to teach are punk, pop, jazz, soul, and metal.

Taylor Araki
Piano, Music Production, Songwriting

Taylor Araki is a professionally trained pianist with over 7 years of experience working 1-on-1 with students of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. Taylor is well-versed in a variety of piano playing styles and approaches, with a passionate expertise specifically in the fields of Classical and Jazz music. His teaching style heavily emphasizes creativity, music fundamentals, theory, technique, and most importantly having fun!
Beyond teaching music, Taylor has written music for Film & TV, authored scholarly research and analysis papers in the fields of music theory and history, and is currently venturing into the music business space. Taylor received his honors-designated B.A. in Music Education from California State Dominguez Hills.
